The Bookbinders’ Guild of New York
invites you to participate in the
2009 New York Book Show
Your publishing house is invited to submit entries of your books, book series, cover/jacket, cover/jacket series and sales catalogs for judging in the
23rd Annual New York Book Show.
- There are six categories: Children’s Trade; General Trade; Special Trade; Scholarly & Professional; School Publishing; and, Publisher’s Sales Catalogue.
- Each of the categories has up to eight subcategories.
- Costs of submission are: Book $45; Book Series $50; Cover / Jacket $35; Cover / Jacket Series $45; and, Catalogue $25.
- All submissions must be made online. The complete instructions, rules and online internet form will be available on October 1, 2008.
- Entries must arrive between November 17th - 19th at Random House.
- Judging will take place on Friday November 21, 2008.
- Winning entry notices will be sent to entrants by mid December, 2008.
- Tickets for the 2009 New York Book Show will go on sale the first week in February 2009.
- Invitations for the 2009 New York Book Show will be mailed the last week in January 2009.
- All winning books, book series, cover/jacket, cover/jacket series and sales catalogs will be displayed at the 2009 New York Book Show gala event on March 24, 2009 at the Manhattan Center.
- The 2009 New York Book Show catalogues will be distributed at the March 24th Book Show event to every attendee.
- The 2009 New York Book Show Results website will be available March 25, 2009. The 2009 New York Book Show Results website will display: winners listed by category. Each winning entry is linked directly to the publisher’s website.
